The current state and future plans of the national cinematography, marketing and conduction of international film festivals, importance of cooperation for development of film industry were discussed at the meeting.

– I am very familiar with the history of cinema in Uzbekistan, – says B.Beumers. – I would like to learn more about current state of the sphere and contribute to its development. The UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan is conducting research on Uzbek cinematography. The goal is to promote film industry development in the country.

The results of the UNESCO study will be discussed at the conference, which will be held in Tashkent on January 24-25 this year. A two-day workshop for young filmmakers will also be organized on development of film projects. At the seminar, B.Beumers conducted master classes for young cinematographers.
