On October 6, 2015, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Head of the Representative Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Tashkent Mieko Yabutа.
Mieko Yabutа presented the letter of the Executive Director of the UNFPA Babatunde Osotimehin on her appointment to Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, the parties considered the implementation of joint projects within the country program of the Fund for 2010-2015 and discussed the perspective directions of further development of cooperation.
