On April 22, 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan consisted of the Senior Adviser to the President on Infrastructure, Human Resources and Technology Humayun Qayumi and the President’s Special Representative for Development of Cooperation with CIS countries Mohammad Shakir Kargar, who arrived in our country with a visit.
The parties discussed in detail the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to Kabul on January 23-24, 2017, and negotiations with the Afghan leadership.
In particular, the sides exchanged views on practical work on the implementation of the Plan (“Roadmap”) on the further development of full-scale cooperation between our countries in 2017.
The Ambassador of Afghanistan Sayed Shahabuddin Timori attended the negotiations.
