Meeting with the FM delegation of Great Britain

As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on April 10, 2018, a meeting with the delegation led by Sarah Croft, the Lead Negotiator for the Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of UK, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Actual aspects of Uzbek-British relations in bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed in detail.

The main attention was paid to issues related to the forthcoming withdrawal of Britain from the European Union. First of all, issues of transferring provisions of the current Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union to the draft of the future bilateral Uzbek-British treaty, which should enter into force after the so-called "Brexit", were discussed.

British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Christopher Allan took part in the negotiations.
