MEETING WITH THE UNITED STATES PRINCIPAL DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY

On November 27, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Switzerland to attend the International Conference on Afghanistan, met in Geneva with the United States Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the sides discussed practical aspects of development of Uzbekistan – American cooperation in the light of implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States and high-level negotiations in May 2018, some issues of international and regional policy.

Views were exchanged on the agenda of forthcoming International Conference on Afghanistan, prospects for starting inter-Afghan peace process.
