he thirteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan opens in Tashkent on December 20, 2017. 24 issues are included in the agenda of the meeting.
On December 19, 2017 meetings of the Senate committees were held. Issues included in the agenda of the plenary session were discussed. The main attention was paid to the discussion of the main parameters of the tax and budget policy, as well as parameters of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018.
At the meeting of the Committee of the Senate on the issues of defense and security, it was noted that as a result of policy pursued under the leadership of the President of our country on increasing independence and strengthening the revenue base of budgets, attracting additional funds for the implementation of social projects, it is expected that the State budget of 2017 will be implemented with a surplus of 0,1 percent to GDP.
Further reduction of the tax burden, reduction of the number of taxes and mandatory payments is envisaged in the main directions of the fiscal policy for 2018. As in previous years, priority will be given to spending on the social sphere and social support of the population.
At the meeting, the issue related to the activities of internal affairs bodies in combating and preventing crime was also considered.
The issue on parameters of the State budget was also considered in the Committee of the Senate on budget and economic reforms. The results of the conducted study of the execution of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Waste” in the part of processing domestic waste in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region were discussed.
