The Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation led by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Manlio Di Stefano.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral trade-economic relations.
It was proposed to jointly develop activities of Uzbekistan – Italy intergovernmental working group, as well as to hold business forums and exhibitions for establishing and strengthening relations between representatives of business circles of the two countries. It was noted that countries have sufficient potential for developing bilateral relations in a number of areas.
The delegation also held negotiations at the State Investment and Tourism Development committees, attended the signing ceremony of an investment agreement between Uzbek Metallurgical Plant JSC and the Italian company Danieli & C.Officine Mecchanicne S.p.A on implementation of a joint project.
