MINISTER OF TOURISM AND CULTURE OF MALAYSIA: "WE INTEND TO EXPAND OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH UZBEKISTAN"

Malaysia is interested in enhancing bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in the sphere of tourism. In an interview with the news agency "Jahon" said Minister of Tourism and Culture of this country Dato Seri Mohammed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz.

— Uzbekistan - is a dynamically developing country with a rapidly growing economic potential, - said the Malaysian minister. - During the years of independence considerable work done on the modernization of tourism infrastructure, resulting in the growing flow of tourists year by year.

It should be noted that our peoples are very similar and close, including from the standpoint of respect for the cultural traditions and ancient heritage of their homeland. This, in turn, can serve to strengthen friendly relations and development of mutually beneficial relations in the tourism sector.

In Malaysia such historical cities as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are honored. Our people astonished by unique architectural monuments and world-famous landmarks of your country. Built to stand tall for centuries, with great skill and refined taste, they do not leave anyone indifferent. These structures show great history and highly developed art of architecture of the Uzbek people.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize that we have something to learn from each other. In my opinion, only the exchange of experience and transparency of information between professionals of the tourism industry will further expand the partnership in this area. Our countries have a rich history and a lot of common values. So, I think that we have great prospects.
