As of April 1 this year, the number of cards in circulation National Bank for Foreign Economic Activities amounted to about 2.1 million units, of which more than 650 thousand cards a new "online" system and 85 thousand - the international card Visa.
According to the Bank, the number of serviced companies whose employees are paid on plastic cards amounted to 13,5 thousand.
National Bank set more than 18 thousand payment terminals, through which the 3 months of this year produced transactions totaling about 9 billion soums in the same period on plastic cards enrolled more than 1,1 trillion soums. The sum of balances on accounts of soum plastic cards on April 1, 2015 amounted to 223,6 billion soums. And on international cards - 20,6 million USD.
In the near future, the Bank plans to further develop the infrastructure to service the holders of plastic cards, including by increasing the number of ATMs and kiosks. In particular, this year scheduled to install 15 new ATMs and 50 stalls with bringing their total number to 137 and 172 respectively.
In addition, the planned issuance of chip cards Visa, which will improve the safety of operations, reduce the risk of data being compromised.
According to the program of international service cards also planned modernization of the terminal fleet by replacing old equipment with a new one that will provide the service cards of leading payment systems such as VISA and MasterCard.
Also, for the shoppers in the virtual space by the Bank will give new service Verified by Visa, which allows to make secure transactions at online stores on Technology 3D-Secure, for which the customer is given a special password to operate in a secure environment. The advantage of this service is a higher level of security. Within the framework of the implementation of e-commerce trade and service enterprises offering goods and services, the opportunity to connect to the specified service for their customers through the implementation of the Internet.
