“NAVRUZ SADOLARI“ – CHILDREN'S FAVOURITE FESTIVAL

An international music competition-festival of polyphonic ensembles and orchestras of national instruments “Navruz sadolari” started at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

The event is organized by the national ministries of education, culture and sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the international Charity Fund Soglom avlod uchun (For healthy generation), the State Conservatory, the Union of composers of Uzbekistan, Tasviriy Oyina Creative Association, Tashkent city hokimiyat, the chamber orchestra of folk instruments Sugdiyona and the Swiss cooperation office.

The orchestras and ensembles of preschool educational institutions, music and art schools, specialized schools and colleges, as well as professional groups take part in the music competition.

Opening the festival, the Minister of national education of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. Inoyatov, Chairman of the Board of international Charity Fund Soglom avlod uchun S.Inamova, rector of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan B.Yokubov and others noted that a special attention under the leadership of President Islam Karimov is paid to the development of art with the aim of educating the young generation in the spirit of national and universal values, expanding their horizons and enhance spirituality.

In accordance with the decree of the President approved on 8 July 2008 State program on strengthening material-technical base and further improve the activities of children’s music and art schools for 2009-2014, extensive work has been done. In particular, 278 children’s music and art schools have been commissioned. They provided with more than 30 thousands of new musical instruments, 61 thousand copies of textbooks, notes from works of national and world music.

As a result of this work, our children study the works of the world’s classical composers along with national musical heritage and widely show their talents.

This finds its expression also in the festival of Navruz sadolari.

The competition-festival, being held since 2007, this year acquired the international status. It involved more than 50 ensembles and orchestras, professional teams from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

An exhibition of musical instruments is being held during the festival. The audience like the performance of children’s folklore, dance groups, youth choirs and instrumental ensembles.

International conference devoted to the issues of the play on national instruments and conducting, as well as master classes and a gala concert will be held. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
