In the London club Institute of Directors held a presentation of the holiday of Navruz, organized by international charitable organization Navruz Commission, with the support of embassies and friendship societies of Central Asia. It was attended by representatives of the parliament, government, business and cultural circles of Great Britain, as well as the heads and staff of foreign diplomatic missions in London.
Our reference: Navruz Commission was established in 2010 with the aim of preserving the traditions of Navruz celebration and promotion of its humanistic values around the world. Organization that unites 17 countries, aims to promote the development of friendly relations between its members and other partners in the fields of cultural exchange, education and health. Recently, thanks to the promotion of values of Navruz, the number of members has increased fr om 9 to 17, including the country in which Navruz was not celebrated historically, but is gaining popularity there. Among them - the US, Britain, France, Italy and Canada.
In her speech to the guests, President of Navruz Commission Homayoun Renwick said that the main purpose of the organization is to bring together all the countries wh ere Navruz is celebrated. This holiday originated nearly 3,000 thousand years ago, is a symbol of spring, awakening and renewal of nature and the beginning of the New Year on the Eastern calendar.
The centerpiece of the presentation took the national stand of Uzbekistan. It was exhibited by traditional textiles (Suzane, satin and adras), a wide range of ceramic souvenirs, as well as tourist information about Uzbekistan. Pavilion of our country has caused wide interest among guests of the presentation, many of whom have expressed a desire to visit it.
The evening ended with a concert featuring musical artists from Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan. Guests of the event rapidly met performance Uzbek artists - singer and dancer Sardor Mirzahodjayev and Sanat Makhmudova.
