Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company and South Korea’s GS E&C are discussing the prospects of building a modern industrial complex in Uzbekistan.
It is expected that the new industrial facility will produce olefins from natural gas, obtaining polymers - polyethylene and polypropylene. The project’s preliminary feasibility study is in progress.
The project cost is estimated at $ 2.9 billion, and it will be implemented by 2021. Once launched, the new plant will produce 210,000 tons of polyethylene and 280,000 tons of polypropylene per year.
