A new training and simulation center has opened its doors under the Republican specialized scientific-practical medical center of obstetrics and gynecology (RSSPRMCOG). It was established with the financial and technical support of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).
The opening ceremony of the Center was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministry of health of Uzbekistan, RSSPRMCOG employees, teachers and students of medical schools.
Speaking at the event, Minister of health of Uzbekistan Anvar Alimov noted that the Uzbek-Turkish cooperation in the field of medicine dates back to 1992, when an agreement was signed on cooperation between the health ministries of the two countries. The past years saw a number of joint projects implemented in this direction, one of which was the establishment of a Training and simulation center under RSSPRMCOG.
— The opening of this institution is consonant to the goals of the State program "Year of a healthy mother and child", implemented in our country in the current year, the Minister said. - There is no doubt that the work in this direction will be continued.
The head of TIKA Serdar Cham, commending the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov announcing the year 2016 as the "Year of a healthy mother and child", stressed that the issue of ensuring the health of women and children is one of the most important policies of any state.
— The Republic is carrying out system reforms in the health sector. It gives us great pleasure to contribute to the realization of the efforts of Uzbekistan in this direction, - S. Cham said.
After the solemn ceremony, the guests toured the new center, which is equipped with the necessary models and simulators of the latest generation.
According to the organizers, the new center will allow anesthesiology-resuscitation specialists, neonatologists, resident physicians and other specialists to improve their skills. Now they have an opportunity to refine their skills not only through models, phantoms and simulators, but also through innovative virtual simulations, providing the virtual reality of medical interventions and procedures.
