New UNESCO Director-General visits Bukhara Biennale

During an official visit to Uzbekistan, the new Director-General of UNESCO, Dr. Khaled El-Enany, visited the Bukhara Biennale of Contemporary Art, held in the historic center of one of the oldest cities along the Great Silk Road, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing the telegram-channel of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the UNESCO Director-General noted the high level of organization of the biennale, the diversity of artistic directions, and the harmonious integration of contemporary art with Bukhara’s unique historical and cultural atmosphere.

Dr. Khaled El-Enany emphasized that supporting cultural initiatives such as the Bukhara Biennale is an important aspect of UNESCO’s work and contributes to strengthening international dialogue through art.
