NIPA PRESIDENT GETS ACQUAINTED WITH IUT ACTIVITIES

President of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIPA) Yoon Jong Lok paid a visit to Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) on 15 July 2016.

NIPA President Yoon Jong Lok arrived in Uzbekistan to take part in the Uzbek-Korea open source software development forum, which was held in Tashkent on 13-15 July 2016.

Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sherzod Shermatov welcomed the guest and briefed the guest on activities of the first full-fledged South Korean university programme abroad.

In particular, IUT rector underlined that the university trains highly skilled specialists in such directions as Information and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, as well as new direction of Logistics.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of boosting cooperation between Inha University in Tashkent and NIPA. Particularly, NIPA’s President expressed his willingness to support promotion of IUT among Korean IT businesses, so that graduates of IUT will have much better opportunities in future.

At the end of the meeting, NIPA President Yoon Jong Lok wrote an entry in the book of honorable guests of Inha University in Tashkent.
