In our country has become a tradition to widely celebrate the national holiday on May 9 - Day of Memory and Honor, caring for veterans of the Second World War and the labor front.

A clear manifestation of care and attention to the older generation is the Decree of the President of our country "On awarding commemorative anniversary medal "Ikkinchi Jahon urushidagi g’alabaning 70 yilligi" citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan - veterans of war and labor front of 1941-1945" ("70th anniversary of Victory in WWII") on 19 February 2015. Its adopted for decent honoring of individuals who have made an invaluable contribution to the victory over fascism.

- In our area 97 participants of the Second World War and about 600 veterans of the labor front are living, - says the chairman of the Department Fund "Nuroniy" of Chilanzar district Obid Akhmedov. - Employees of the District Hokimiyat Fund "Nuroniy", mahalla activists, young people attend them. Life of veterans who fought for peace and our quiet life, their selfless work, of course, serve as a model for young people.
