In our country has become a tradition to widely celebrate the national holiday on May 9 - Day of Memory and Honor, caring for veterans of the Second World War and the labor front.
A clear manifestation of care and attention to the older generation is the Decree of the President of our country "On awarding commemorative anniversary medal "Ikkinchi Jahon urushidagi g’alabaning 70 yilligi" citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan - veterans of war and labor front of 1941-1945" ("70th anniversary of Victory in WWII") on 19 February 2015. Its adopted for decent honoring of individuals who have made an invaluable contribution to the victory over fascism.
The National Park of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi representatives of Tashkent city administration, funds "Nuroniy" and "Mahalla" on behalf of the president in a solemn ceremony veterans received memorable jubilee medals "70th anniversary of Victory in WWII" cash rewards and gifts. The event was held under the motto "No one will be left without attention".
So far, I can not forget the terrible ordeals that befell our generation in the harsh years of war - a war veteran says a resident of mahalla "Bogiston" of Chilanzar district of capital Antonina Kolomyntseva. - I am already 89 years old, and I’m happy that I live in a country where peace and tranquility reigns. For us, the veterans, its a duty to explain to young people what price is peace and prosperity, and to call to keep this priceless wealth as the apple of their eye.
Tashkent branch of the fund "Nuroniy" in partnership with a number of state and public organizations implementing social protection measures for the participants of the WWII and the labor front, their material and moral incentives, as well as decent celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the War of 1941-1945.
In our area 97 participants of the Second World War and about 600 veterans of the labor front are living, - says the chairman of the Department Fund "Nuroniy" of Chilanzar district Obid Akhmedov. - Employees of the District Hokimiyat Fund "Nuroniy", mahalla activists, young people attend them. Life of veterans who fought for peace and our quiet life, their selfless work, of course, serve as a model for young people.
