NOTARY OFFICES OF TASHKENT GO UNDER CONTROL OF MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

The Ministry of Justice held a meeting with the community of notaries. The meeting saw notaries from all regions of the country and responsible leaders of the judiciary and members of the public.

The meeting analyzed the problems amassed in the activity of notary’s offices, discussed mechanisms and proposals for their elimination.

The meeting took decisions on the following issues:

First, taking into account the fact that 21 percent of notaries and one-third of notarial actions of the Republic fall on the share of the Tashkent city, the activity of notaries of the capital was transferred from the jurisdiction of the city department of justice under the jurisdiction and control of the Ministry of justice.

Second, the appointment of a notary is to be carried out based on new approaches and requirements, taking into account the knowledge, high spirituality and culture of the candidate.

Thirdly, representatives of the profession of a notary are committed to immediately eliminate the existing deficiencies in the provision of quality notary services. The commitment reflects the need for an honest and faithful execution of the duties of a notary, to faithfully serve the people, strictly abide by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to comply with the rules of ethics.

The meeting extensively discussed the planned reforms in the field of notaries provided for in the Action Strategy.
