The senators considered the issue “On the Program of gradual transformation of farms into multidisciplinary farms for 2018”, submitted to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of October 9, 2017 “On measures of radically improving the system of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of farmers, dehkan farms and landowners, efficient use of cultivated areas of agriculture”.
In accordance with the territorial programs on organization and development of multidisciplinary farms, 22 986 projects aimed at establishing multidisciplinary activities will be implemented in 21 634 farms of the country in 2018.
It is planned to spend 1 603 billion sums for implementing projects approved for 2018 in the republic, of which 608,8 billion sums – at the expense of commercial banks. The main thing is that it is planned to organize 83 567 new workplaces in rural areas.
The senators considered issues on the agenda of the plenary session. They heard the information of the Minister of Internal Affairs, as well as of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Following the discussions, relevant resolutions of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan were adopted.
The senators considered issues on introducing amendments to the composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Georgia, Japan and other issues within the competence of the Senate.
26 issues were considered during the thirteenth plenary session, including 15 laws aimed at radically improving the efficiency of the ongoing reforms in the country, developing international cooperation, consistently implementation of tasks identified in the Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021. It was noted that the decisions taken by the senators will become an important factor in expanding international cooperation, further strengthening the guarantees of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, ensuring stability and prosperity in the country.
