ON TELEPHONE CONVERSATION OF PRESIDENTS OF UZBEKISTAN AND KAZAKHSTAN

On December 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It was emphasized that Kazakhstan has achieved significant results in state construction and establishment of solid bases for independent development under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Due to the initiatives of the Head of the state, Kazakhstan has earned recognition in the international arena, has become an authoritative member of the world community, a stable and prosperous state.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation. It was emphasized that this year the relations between the countries have significantly expanded in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The trade turnover has increased noticeably, joint trading houses and modern production facilities have been established, the interregional cooperation is actively developing.

The presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expressed their principled support for the efforts of the Central Asian countries on development of cooperation on the basis of mutual trust, respect and consideration of each other’s interests.

The heads of the two states also exchanged views on certain issues of the international agenda and on bilateral and multilateral events to be held in 2018.
