President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with participation of government members, heads of ministries and departments, khokims of Khorezm region and districts, officials of relevant spheres, in Khorezm region. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, held in the spirit of critical analysis, the Head of the state noted that recently a number of socio-economic issues have been accumulated in the region, the region’s leadership does not properly solve problems, and the first head of the region lacked exactingness and determination. Unsatisfactory work of the regional, city and district sectors was also noted.
At the meeting it was noted that the order and discipline in work are the most important factors for achieving high results.
It was noted that the region lagged behind in many spheres, serious shortcomings exist in creation of new jobs, expansion of the budget revenue base, increasing of the region’s export potential, debt reduction, improvement of cities and villages, as well as many problems in tourism, despite the broad opportunities of the region in this industry.
At an extraordinary session of Khorezm regional Kengash of people’s deputies that was held on April 21, the khokim of the region Ilgizar Sobirov was dismissed from his post for serious shortcomings in his work. Farkhod Ermanov was appointed acting khokim of the region.
At the meeting, the first deputy khokim of the region for economic issues Maksud Sapayev, the deputy khokim of the region for investments Temur Rakhmonov and the khokim of Kushkupir district Sardor Yusupov were dismissed from their posts for shortcomings. In addition, disciplinary measures have been taken against sector leaders and several responsible persons, specific deadline has been set for elimination of shortcomings.
A number of tasks were set before the new leadership and all responsible officials of the region.
All khokims, heads of departments and organizations should wake up and work hard, not sparing themselves. Comprehensive development of the region, contentment of people and increasing their welfare should be the main task of each leader, said the President.
