OUR ATHLETE WON GRAND PRIX

Member of the national team of Uzbekistan on taekwondo (WTF) Dmitry Shokin won the international tournament in Grand Prix series.

In the current sports season D.Shokin adequately performed in a number of prestigious tournaments, including the winner of the competition and the winner of the Grand Prix series, in which he obtained important ranking points required to obtain a license for the Olympic Games in 2016. In August, he won a gold medal in Moscow and a bronze medal in the Turkish city of Samsun.

In the third stage of the Grand Prix, held in Manchester, our sportsman again took the highest step of the podium.

Dmitriy, performing in superheavy weight category, in the final match defeated Cuban Rafael Castillo and in addition got the gold medal gaining 40 ranking points for Olympic license.

In honor of the victory of our athlete’s has been raised flag and national anthem of our country has been sounded.
