OUR TWO WRESTLERS WON OLYMPIC LICENSES IN MONGOLIA

The members of the Uzbekistan National Greco-Roman wrestling team Elmurod Tasmurodov and Mumin Abdullaev won the licenses for the upcoming XXXI Summer Olympic Games.
Our athletes successfully performed at the First World Olympic Game Qualifying Event in Freestyle, Greco-Roman and female wrestling held in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
Our sportsmen Elmurod Tasmurodov, Nurbek Holmuhamadov, Suhrob Fattoev, Mumin Abdullaev participated in Greco-Roman wrestling competition, in freestyle wrestling - Nodirjon Safarov, Rashid Kurbonov, Umidjon Ismanov, Magomed Ibragimov and Hasanboy Rahimov, in female wrestling - Zuhra Mustanova and Nabira Esenboeva.
Elmurod Tasmurodov among wrestlers in weight category up to 59 kg defeated Andrey Tsaryuk from Israel, Frunze Harutyunyan from Sweden, in the quarterfinals - Peter Modos from Hungary and reached the semifinals. In the fight for the bronze medal Elmurod won over the Bulgarian wrestler Ivo Angelov.
According to the rules, the two bronze medalists have to fight for a ticket to the Olympics. Thus, Elmurod Tasmurodov won the fight with Revaz Laski from Georgia and became the owner of the license.
In competitions of wrestlers in a weight category up to 130 kg, Mumin Abdullaev defeated Leon Nikolaos of Greece and lost Amir Muhammadali Gasemimonjazi from Iran.
In the fight for third place, M.Abdullaev defeated Balint Lam from Hungary and Joseph Chugoshvili from Belarus. An experienced competitor in the fight for the Olympic license did not leave Bulgarian Miloslav Metodiev a chance to win.
