A popular Pakistani online publication, “The World News”, has published an article on the Imam Bukhari Complex, providing detailed coverage of the reconstruction efforts and the facilities created for visitors, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication notes that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reviewed the completed construction works at the complex located in the Samarkand Region. It is emphasized that the shrine was reconstructed on the initiative of the Head of State in accordance with the high status of the great scholar in the Islamic world.

Special attention has been paid to infrastructure development: modern facilities for pilgrims have been created on an adjacent 15-hectare area. This includes the construction of hotels and service points, featuring one four-star and two three-star hotels, as well as 22 family guesthouses with a capacity of 176 beds and a parking lot. As a result, the complex’s daily capacity has increased from 12,000 to 65,000 visitors.

The complex itself covers 45 hectares and features a major mosque designed for 10,000 people, an administrative building, and a monumental national-style iwan with 154 columns. It also boasts 14 azure domes and four 75-meter minarets, giving the structure a majestic appearance.

Special emphasis is placed on the creation of an innovative museum consisting of nine pavilions equipped with modern technology. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and scholarly legacy of Imam Bukhari, and also includes materials on the prophets mentioned in the Quran, genealogy of Prophet Muhammad and the history of hadiths.

The article also cites a statement by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, noting that the complex will become an important spiritual center contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the education of the younger generation in the spirit of the true values of Islam. It is further emphasized that the Head of State highlighted the need to transform the complex into a center for enlightenment and for the professional development of imam-khatibs and community (mahalla) activists.

According to the publication, Imam Bukhari Complex has become a vivid symbol of the capabilities of the New Uzbekistan and an important spiritual site capable of uniting Muslims around the world.
