X International Music Festival "Sharq taronalari", which was recently held in Samarkand, has been widely reported in the Pakistani media.
Thus, the news broadcasts of public TV channels PTV NEWS and PTV WORLD in Urdu and English televised special reports on the opening ceremony of the music forum.
With the help of these reports viewers became familiar with the welcoming speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, aims and objectives of a cultural event, and countries participating in it.
Pakistani TV channels highlighted the deeply humanistic spirit and philosophy of the music festival, its important role in strengthening friendship between peoples, promoting cultural dialogue, preserving the traditions of classical music.
Special attention was paid to the reports of the choir "Surur", which represented Pakistan in the grand music fest.
