PIRIMKUL KADYROV'S "YULDUZLI TUNLAR" PRESENTED IN ISLAMABAD

In Pakistani society, particularly political and academic circles treat the historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan with particular respect. There is no exception here the work of the great statesman Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur.

Taking into consideration of this our country’s embassy in Islamabad has presented the novel of well-known Uzbek writer P.Kadyrov "Yulduzli tunlar". The presentation has been conducted in collaboration with the Forum of friendship "Pakistan-SCO" and the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies. The book was translated into Urdu and re-published by Pakistan’s National Fund.

Representatives of the academic and expert circles of Pakistan, including the faculty of the National Institute of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University "Kuayd-Azam", the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, as well as the media have attended the event. New published novels were given to the attendees.

In his speech, Professor of the Department of History of the Open University "Allama Iqbal" Abdul Basit has commended the creative and historical heritage of Babur which had an enormous influence on the development of world literature, especially in the Indian subcontinent. According to the speaker, the creativity of the outstanding poet and statesman symbolizes spiritual wealth of not only Uzbekistan, but also of the vast region. The scientist said that the novel "Yulduzli tunlar" not only details about the life of Babur, but clearly reveals the culture and way of life of the peoples of Central and South Asia in the historical period.

A.Basit has noted that the work of P.Kadyrov is an important historical source which enables Pakistani readers to get acquainted with the rich culture of the Uzbek people, as well as important historical events in the region which had a tremendous impact on the modern Pakistan and India.

"This novel has been repeatedly republished in various countries, including Russia, Central Asia and Europe, this once again confirms the high intellectual, cultural and educational level of the Uzbek people which has a unique literature and poetry - the pearl of cultural heritage of humanity", - A.Basit has concluded.

Senior researcher at the National Institute of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University "Kuayd-Azam" Sajeed Awan has said that the author of a work in detail and with a colorful history revealed the rise of Babur dynasty and their role in shaping India, their unique historical and architectural monuments.

The expert has emphasized the contribution and efforts of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the restoration and promotion of historical and cultural heritage of his people, in particular the works of Babur. According to the scientist, now the Uzbek classical and modern literature occupies a worthy place in the world cultural fund.
