The largest city of China hoste the opening ceremony of the cultural program "National and foreign poetry-2015". An extensive exhibition devoted to the work of great writers has been conducted at People’s Square - central square of megalopolis. The verses of the great Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi took a special place among them.
One of the guests of the stand of our country - the vice-president of the Shanghai Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Zhou Yazhun said that poetry of XV-XVI centuries occupies a special place in the Uzbek classical literature.
— The great Uzbek poets, including Alisher Navoi, made an invaluable contribution to world culture and literature, - he stressed. - Therefore, our association has selected the most famous works of the Uzbek statesman and thinker, coinciding acquaintance with his work and life to the forthcoming establishment of a monument to Alisher Navoi on the territory of Shanghai University.
In order to increase public interest in the Uzbek culture in the different stands and posters hung verses of the outstanding writer of the peoples of the East, devoted to spiritual values and morals, the use of the knowledge and love of the mother and other topics.
