The Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held a seminar on “Problems in the sphere of housing and communal services and participation of organizations of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in their solutions”.
Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Hotamjon Ketmonov and others noted that one of the most important tasks is qualitative preparation for the autumn/winter season, and emphasized the need for active participation of party representatives in this process.
The Central Council of the party, together with the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan has developed a plan of measures on thorough preparation for the autumn/winter season in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of ensuring comprehensive preparation of the economy and social sectors of the republic for sustainable work in the autumn/winter period 2017/2018” of June 22, 2017.
Among the important tasks it defines the provision of populated areas with clean drinking water, bringing the essence and significance of laws and legislative acts adopted in the sphere of communal services to the general public and all categories of consumers.
At the seminar, it was emphasized that it is necessary to draw serious conclusions from the shortcomings and problems identified at the meeting held by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 2 of this year on qualitative communal services for the population, the state of preparation of economic sectors, multi-storey residential buildings and social facilities for the autumn/winter season.
– To date, there are more than 4300 private homeownership associations in our country, – said Rakhima Ortikova, head of department of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services. – However, there is lack of qualified specialists on a number of services, including equipment, repair, restoration and other areas, which hampers the improvement of the quality of communal services.
At the event, it was noted that more than a thousand appeals received in public receptions of the party since the beginning of the year relate to issues of housing and communal services. Important tasks have been identified on intensifying activities on preparation for the season, ensuring full readiness of all houses, schools, hospitals and other social facilities for the autumn/winter season, the working groups were given necessary instructions.
