PRESENTATION IN JAPAN

In the Japanese city of Mito the presentation of the culture and art of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by representatives of culture and art of Japan, the administration and the community of the city of Mito.

An integral part of the evening was the concert program, which included the performances of Uzbek songs and dances of Japanese musical ensemble Silk Road Ensemble.

Our reference: Japanese Silk Road Ensemble ensemble was formed in 2003 in Ibaraki Prefecture. The dancers of the ensemble in 2009-2012 visited Uzbekistan to participate in courses to improve the performance of national dances of the Uzbek people.

Guests were also able to enjoy the presentation of the best dishes of Uzbek cuisine, traditional oriental sweets and meals.

In an interview with the news agency "Jahon" participant of event Ise Sato noted the following:

— Uzbekistan became close to my country. Uzbek dances that represented the Japanese, let me feel that I’m in your beautiful country.

The territory of Uzbekistan has always been considered one of the centers of world civilization, which for centuries came interchange of many cultures.

I believe that such events serve to further strengthen Japan-Uzbek cultural interaction. I wish for further development of bilateral relations between Japan and Uzbekistan.

Another guest of the event - Michiko Terauchi said that Uzbekistan has a rich culture, tradition and similar mentality of the Uzbek and Japanese peoples gives impetus to the further strengthening of cooperation between our countries.

— Today’s presentation on Uzbekistan to provide the public the city of Mito opportunity to become better acquainted with the culture of your country, - she said.
