The Head of the state got acquainted with the presentation of projects on socio-economic development of Tashkent region.
It is planned to implement 662 projects in the region this year. Production of bicycles in Kuyichirchik district is among them. The enterprise, organized jointly with Chinese investors, will attract $80 million of investment. It is planned to export products for 260 million dollars.
The project aroused particular interest of the Head of the state. He noted the need for increasing the production of bicycles, the number of bicycle paths and popularization of bicycle riding.
“It strengthens health. It would be nice if our people drove not only a car, but also sometimes rode a bicycle. Riding bicycle improves the heart work, prolongs life. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate the launch of this enterprise”, said the President.
Construction of the enterprise will begin in October this year.
The Head of the state gave instructions to responsible persons on projects related to industry, agriculture, transport and tourism.
