On September 4, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi arrived in Uzbekistan with an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met the distinguished guest at Tashkent international airport named after Islam Karimov.
After a short conversation, the delegation of the Arab Republic of Egypt left for the residence allocated for them.
The main activities of the visit are scheduled for September 5. During the upcoming meetings between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi, it is planned to discuss promising areas for development of Uzbekistan – Egypt cooperation, exchange views on current international and regional issues.
Following the negotiations, it is expected to adopt a Joint Statement of the Heads of States, and sign intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents on strengthening and expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt in political, trade and economic fields, in tourism, science, education, culture and sports.
Within the framework of the visit of the President of Egypt, it is also planned to hold a business forum and a cooperation exchange in Tashkent with participation of representative delegations of business circles of the two countries.
