PRESIDENT OF OUR COUNTRY SHAVKAT MIRZIYOYEV REVIEWED THE CONSTRUCTIVE WORKS, THE PACE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF SOCIAL-ECONOMIC PROJECTS, THE ACTIVITY OF SCHOOLS ON 12 APRIL

The Head of our state visited “Rele va avtomatika» joint-stock company in Chilonzor district.

The third direction of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 determines the tasks on improving effectiveness of the existing and establishing new free economic zones, technoparks and small industrial zones, modernization of industry, enhancing inter-sectoral industrial cooperation.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev had inspected industrial facilities in Tashkent on 3 February and 25 March and had given recommendations on creating necessary conditions for effective activity of companies and entrepreneurs. Today new manufacturing capacities are being established in these facilities.

“Rele va avtomatika” joint-stock company occupies an area of 3,91 ha, which includes manufacturing facilities on 2,26 ha. The plant produces metallic and plastic goods of 100 types, low-voltage devices and renders corresponding services. A necessary infrastructure for enhancing production is available here.

10 new investment projects are planned for implementation in 2017-2018 in the unoccupied facilities of the joint-stock company. As a result of their implementation, production of paper for cash registers and terminals, knitwear, hydraulic oils, plastic pipes and fittings, propylene bags, acryl and stationeries will be launched.

The Head of our state underlined the need to establish companies, localizing imported goods and manufacture export-oriented products.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “”Roison Home White Goods” Uzbek-British joint venture in Chilonzor district.

The capital, as all regions of our country, is undertaking wide-scale works on accelerated development of small businesses and private entrepreneurship, ensuring free activities of entrepreneurs. The decree of the President of our country “On additional measures on ensuring accelerated development of entrepreneurial activity, comprehensive protection of private property and quality improvement of business climate” on 5 October 2016 has created new opportunities in this regard.

The total area of “Roison Home White Goods” Uzbek-British joint venture, established in the territory of the former “Algoritm” plant in Chilonzor district, is 23 ha, including 9,7 ha under buildings and installations. At present over 50 businesses, manufacturing home appliances, textiles, chemical and paper products, furniture, construction materials, metal processing, operate here. Over thousand people work in these enterprises.

The Head of our state, during inspection of projects, has underscored the need to provide wide preferences to small businesses, the importance of supporting them in search for foreign partners, access to foreign markets and increasing export activities.

Economic projects, to be implemented in Chilonzor district, have been presented here.

During a conversation with businesspeople, Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted effective utilization of favorable business climate, increasing the quality of manufactured products, widening exports, active participation in international exhibitions. The President gave recommendations to responsible officials on wide support of entrepreneurship, stimulating exports, attracting investments, providing loans and on other relevant issues.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the “Katta Hirmontepa” and “Yakkatut” neighbourhoods in Chilonzor district.

Neighbourhood citizens’ gatherings as a true institution of people’s self-government have a firm place in society. This is of important significance to carrying out noble tasks of ensuring dialogue with the people and human interests.

Mainly multi-storey apartment houses are located in the “Katta Hirmontepa” neighbourhood. The Head of State inspected the neighbourhood. He gave officials instructions to improve areas around multi-storey buildings, pre-school day care establishments and schools and to repair pathways.

Schools are places of education, and special attention should be paid to improvement work here, the President said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited people in their homes in this neighbourhood and held a conversation with them.

There are two pre-school day care establishments, two schools and two colleges functioning in the “Yakkatut” neighbourhood.

The President acquainted himself with the life of this neighbourhood and held a dialogue with its people.

Here information about standard neighbourhood centre construction projects to be carried out in Tashkent city was presented to the Head of State.

Neighbourhoods should have law-based foundations and adequate conditions in order for them to effectively carry out tasks within their remit, the President said.

The proposed new standard neighbourhood centre construction project envisages separate rooms being provided for the neighbourhood’s chairman, secretary, advisers and preventive inspector. This will serve to further strengthen such qualities as harmony and thoughtfulness that are characteristic of Uzbek people.

In accordance with the President’s recommendation, such inspectors should live in the neighbourhoods where they work. This is significant for them to hold a close dialogue with every household in the neighbourhood and to closely observe streets and public places.

Instructions were given to provide service accommodation for preventive inspectors and preferential credits for the purchase of cars for them and to create all the necessary conditions for them to work effectively.

Teahouses, bakeries, beauty salons, shops, sports facilities and children’s playgrounds not only meet people’s vital needs but also serve to ensure a stable moral climate in the neighbourhood.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that neighbourhoods should be a bridge between people and the state.

The number of motor vehicles in this country, especially in its capital city, is increasing. This is proof of rising living standards and prosperity in the country. And the purpose of large-scale reforms is raise the living standards of the population and to completely ensure human interests.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has considered a project of repairing internal roads in Chilonzor district of the capital city. Under this project, all the internal roads in this district are to be repaired completely.

The Head of State said while looking at this project that special attention should be paid to roads’ quality and modernity.

A shortage of parking spaces near big buildings, facilities and marketplaces causes certain inconveniences. Information about a project of car parks construction near big buildings and facilities was presented to the President.

Under this project, three-, four-storey car parks are to be built near such buildings. This is of important significance to preventing traffic jams and to ensuring pedestrians’ safety.

The President gave officials instructions to improve the roads and also to build car parks to modern standards.
