At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited Uzbekistan on a state visit.
The main events of the visit took place on October 19.
At the negotiations held at Kuksaroy residence, issues of further development of bilateral trade-economic, investment cooperation, strengthening relations in transport-communications, energy, agriculture, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres were discussed.
During the visit, 20 documents were signed.
The President of the Russian Federation, accompanied by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Mustakillik Square and laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism.
The Presidents attended Uzbekistan – Russia First Interregional Cooperation Forum at Uzexpocentre. Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin launched the first Nuclear Power Station construction project in Uzbekistan.
The heads of states also held an informal meeting.
President Vladimir Putin departed for Russia. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has seen off the President of the Russian Federation.
