PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN ARRIVES IN TASHKENT

At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on October 7, 2015, the President of Turkmenistan paid an official visit to Tashkent.

At the Tashkent International Airport the distinguished guest has been welcomed by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev.

After a brief conversation, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed to the residence in the complex Kuksaroy, reserved for it.

The main activities of the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan scheduled for October 8.

As previously reported, in the framework of the Uzbek-Turkmen summit the parties will discuss the state and prospects of further development of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, transport and communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as exchange views on topical issues of regional and international importance.

Following the visit is expected to adopt the Joint statement of Heads of two states, the signing of a number of documents aimed at further development of mutually beneficial relations in the economic, transport, customs, tourism, scientific and technical fields, as well as healthcare and sports.
