President of Uzbekistan meets with Kyrgyzstan's President

On November 29, a meeting between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov, within the framework of the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, took place at Kuksaroy residence.

Leaders of the two countries noted with deep satisfaction the consistent expansion and strengthening of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan relations of centuries-old friendship and good-neighborliness.

Active mutual contacts at various levels, positive dynamics of the trade turnover, and intensive humanitarian exchanges were emphasized.

Views were also exchanged on the current issues of the regional and international agenda.

The parties expressed confidence that the Tashkent Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will become a significant contribution to further enhancing ties and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries of the region.
