President of Uzbekistan meets with the U.S. senator

Yesterday, in the framework of the working visit to Washington D.C., President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received at his residence co-chair of the Central Asia Caucus in the U.S. Senate, Senator Steve Daines, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, issues related to further strengthening Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The Head of our state highly appreciated interparliamentary cooperation, in particular the work of the Senate Caucus on Central Asia.

The unprecedented level of bilateral cooperation was noted with satisfaction. Mutual trade indicators are growing, and the number of successful cooperation projects with leading American companies is increasing.

In recent months, agreements and contracts have been concluded for record amounts. During the current visit, the signing of new economic documents is planned. The importance of US Congress support for the practical implementation of these agreements was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to continuing active cooperation with the state of Montana, represented by Senator Steve Daines. An agreement was reached on organizing a business mission of the state to Uzbekistan.

An exchange of views took place on the topical international and regional issues presenting mutual interest.
