President of Uzbekistan: Our grandfathers, Jadids knew that learning, pride, and statesmanship were in our blood

Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the construction of the building has been completed currently. On its four sides, there are portals with a height of 34 meters, and in the center, there is an oriental-style dome.

The Head of the state inspected each room and became acquainted with projects of their decoration and equipment.

Recommendations were given on the external and internal decoration of the center, decoration with ornaments. It was noted that it is necessary to apply modern solutions with the expectation of receiving numerous tourists, delegations, holding international conferences, and preparing expositions so that they are designed for visitors of different ages.

During his previous visit, the President noted that the Center for Islamic Civilization should become a base for scientific institutions in this field, provide conditions for research by scientists and strengthen the knowledge of students.

Accordingly, the project has been finalized, and the center will create conditions for undergraduates and doctoral students of the International Islamic Academy.

The design and equipment of the interior and exterior of the center, security systems and communications will meet the most advanced requirements.

Here, the President talked with scientists, representatives of intelligentsia and the older generation, and mahalla chairmen.

“We often talk about national identity. But I am concerned about one thing: whether we are worthy of this feeling”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – What great things did our ancestors do in difficult conditions, with hard work?! After all, our grandfathers, Jadids, were also repressed for a specific purpose. They knew that learning, pride, and statesmanship were in our blood. The voice of all our great scientists will ring in this center.

It was noted that all mahallas of Almazar district, in which the center is located, should become exemplary, offer their ideas regarding education and upbringing.

“If we do this, the light of the Center of Islamic Civilization will come to every mahalla, and we will succeed”, the President said.
