Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan visited “Bogi Somon” farm in Tursunzade district.
Almost half of 300 thousand people of Tursunzade city are representatives of Uzbek nationality. Farms of the city are mainly engaged in viticulture. Local vineyards remind the vineyards of Besharik district of Fergana or Parkent district of Tashkent region.
The head of the farm Kamol Madumarov is a son of a farmer from Altiarik district of Uzbekistan. He followed in the footsteps of his father, earned respect as hardworking farmer. Currently, the farm has vineyards with a total area of 500 hectares. 1,100 people work here. Such grape varieties as “Husayni”, “Rizamat”, “Kattakurgon”, “Kelin barmok” and others are grown. 70-80 percent of products are exported. Currently, harvesting activities are carried out in the refrigerated warehouse of the farm with a capacity of 1.2 thousand tons.
Presidents became acquainted with the activity of this warehouse, visited the vineyards. Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented Captiva car produced in Uzbekistan to Kamol Madumarov. The President of Uzbekistan also visited “Vatan” farm of the same district and presented a Captiva to its head Nemat Usmonov.
