President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met yesterday with the head of the World Triathlon Union Antonio Fernandez Arimany, currently in our country within the framework of the World Cup on triathlon and paratriathlon in the city of Samarkand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press-service of the Head of our state, the issues of further expansion of practical cooperation with the mentioned reputable global sports organization in the field of popularization of this sport and support to the national school of triathlon in Uzbekistan were discussed.
The active development of triathlon in our country was noted with satisfaction. A national federation is functioning, international competitions are regularly held, Uzbek athletes are strengthening their positions in continental and world rankings.
Special attention was paid to further development of interaction and implementation of expert assistance programs in the field of training athletes, coaches, referees and sports managers, as well as creation of modern infrastructure.
