During a trip to Kashkadarya, the head of our state today made an unplanned visit to the central clinic of the Karshi district medical association, reports a correspondent of "Dunyo" information agency.
According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the institution was built in the 60-70s of the last century. The hospital is designed for 228 patients, the clinic can accommodate 250 people. Currently, they serve 243 thousand residents of the region. But local conditions do not correspond to such coverage and the requirements of the time. Some equipment needs updating.
The President visited medical departments and wards, examined the real situation, and talked with patients.
The purpose of our visit today is to make the lives of 3.5 million people in Kashkadarya better, to accelerate the development of industry, agriculture, and the social sphere. Driving by, I decided to find out what the situation was at the hospital. Making decisions after seeing the situation personally, talking to ordinary people is my biggest goal. When medicine and education are at the proper level, people will be happy. We have improved hospitals in many places. But I don’t like the situation in the Karshi region. Judging by what I saw today, a decision was made to build a new hospital here," said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Responsible persons were instructed to make a proposal on the location and design of the future medical complex. It will be equipped with the most modern equipment and provided with free medicines. A group of doctors and nurses working in the district medical association will be sent abroad to improve their skills. The new clinic will also become a training and practical center for employees of other regional hospitals.
During the visit, issues of increasing the potential of personnel and the quality of medical care, and putting the hospital territory in order were also touched upon.
