On January 22, 2018, Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Program for implementation of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the “Year of supporting active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies” has been adopted.
The State Program consists of five sections. Within the framework of the State program, it is planned to develop 37 laws (the Electoral Code, the laws “On public service”, “On protection of personal data”, “On the rights of persons with disabilities”, “On science”, “On innovative activities”, and others.) to adopt 142 normative legal acts and implement 52 practical measures covering various spheres.
The first section of the State Program is devoted to improvement of the system of the state and public construction. The next important direction of the State program is to ensure the rule of law and further reform the judicial and legal system.
The third direction of the State program is devoted to development of the economy and supporting active entrepreneurship. In the sphere of development and liberalization of the economy, a gradual transition to a new model of innovative development, based on advanced ideas, smart technologies and know-how, is envisaged.
