On November 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for the Republic of Korea with a state visit at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in.
As previously reported, during the high-level negotiations it is planned to discuss a wide range of issues on bilateral agenda, prospects for further development of interstate relations in political, trade-economic, financial-investment, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, exchange views on regional and international issues.
The Head of our state will also meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, will visit Uzbekistan – South Korea business forum with participation of heads of leading economic and financial structures and entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Following the visit, adoption of a Joint Statement on comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership by the Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, as well as signing of significant intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, commercial agreements and contracts providing for strengthening and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, is expected.
