On December 30, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Heads of the two states exchanged congratulations on the upcoming New Year.
It was noted with satisfaction that this year has become an important historical period in strengthening good neighborliness, strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation. This was facilitated by the fruitful results of the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
Intensification of bilateral contacts at different levels, the development of interparliamentary and interregional cooperation, the growth of trade, the successful implementation of cooperation projects in mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan was emphasized.
Current issues of the regional and international agenda were also discussed during the conversation.
