The National Press Center of Uzbekistan hosted a press conference with the President of the International Union of rugby Bernard Lapasset.
As was noted at the event, Uzbekistan pays great attention to the development of rugby, its promotion among the public, especially young people. Regular competitions and various tournaments with the participation of male and female teams, selected talented athletes that can show good results in the international arena, as well as strengthening the material-technical base of national teams.
According to Bernard Lapasset, Uzbekistan created all conditions for the development of rugby, and the sport quickly takes a massive scale, not only in cities but also in the regions. He also praised the successful performance of the Uzbek rugby players in international tournaments and competitions of the continental level.
