The Head of State got acquainted with the activities of the "FERRE GROUP" enterprise in Urgut district and its household appliance production project, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, located in the Oramas massif of the "Urgut" free economic zone, this enterprise is a modern production complex established thanks to the favorable opportunities and reliable investment climate created for businesses in our country in recent years.

The enterprise, initially started by assembling several types of household appliances from imported components, has now grown into a major company in Central Asia, holding sustainable positions in manufacturing refrigerators, gas stoves, mini-ovens, vacuum cleaners, range hoods and other household goods, as well as modern iron doors.

Products manufactured here with the "Made in Uzbekistan" label under the brands such as "DORSA", "KLEO", and "FERRE" are exported to Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan. "FERRE" trademark also holds a strong niche in the conditions of high competition in the domestic market. The enterprise’s current annual capacity is 250 thousand units of products worth an average of 440 billion soums, and this figure is continuing to grow every year.

The production process utilizes materials and components from the world’s leading companies, including EMBRACO, LG, DOW, MIDEA, and FEMAS. Currently, the localization level of the enterprise’s products is nearly 85 percent.

The total value of the project is $30 million, involving foreign investment and preferential bank loans. About a thousand jobs have been created. The production equipment represents the latest technologies from Germany, Türkiye, Italy, and China.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the production process, talked with company’s management and specialists, emphasizing the need to expand the range of products that meet international standards and to further strengthen the company’s position in foreign markets. The importance of effectively using the opportunities and incentives provided by the state was noted.

It was stated that entrepreneurs who establish their own brands, enhancing our country’s reputation worldwide, will always be supported. They create added value and provide thousands of people with a steady income.

- We cannot build the New Uzbekistan without supporting entrepreneurs. If you relentlessly develop, there will be no poverty left in Samarkand. By being proactive, you have the opportunity to make Uzbekistan known to the world, - said the President.

The Head of our state emphasized the importance of creating added value and new jobs by increasing the number of such production enterprises in the "Urgut" free economic zone and gave instructions to the responsible officials.

Here, the President reviewed investment projects and an exhibition of products manufactured by leading industrial enterprises in Samarkand region.

The presentation included information on several projects in healthcare, mining industry, construction materials production, technoparks, sericulture, and metallurgy.

A multidisciplinary hospital will be established in Samarkand under a public–private partnership with leading Turkish companies. In the framework of the project 1 thousand jobs will be created.

In Bulungur district it’s planned to launch the production of pharmaceuticals in partnership with a Chinese company. This project will provide employment for 1 thousand people.

Moreover, Chinese companies presented several new projects, including the production of silk fiber and fabric in Urgut district, the establishment of a special technopark industrial zone in Nurabad district, the preparation of chemical alloys for steel smelting in Samarkand, and the manufacturing of prefabricated structures in the Pastdargom district.

Relevant instructions were given to responsible officials to ensure the timely, high-quality, and efficient implementation of these projects.
