Products of Uzbekistan on Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2015

The city of Riga (Latvia) hosted the International Exhibition of Textile Industry Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2015. It was attended by about 400 companies from more than 15 countries.

The second consecutive year the company State Joint Stock Company "Uzbekyengilsanoat" presented at the exhibition products of light industry of Uzbekistan - from cotton yarn to ready-made clothes and other tissues.

During the event, representatives of Uzbek companies held talks that culminated in specific agreements on cooperation. In particular, the contracts for the supply of textile products to European countries in the amount of more than $1,5 million.

Foreign experts were unanimous in their opinion that the high consumer quality and competitive price of Uzbek goods are the basis for increasing supplies to Europe.

Note that today Uzbekistan is one of Latvia’s main trading partners in the EU. Between our countries operates a complex of agreements on industrial and economic cooperation, investment promotion and protection, as well as the avoidance of double taxation.

In Riga trading houses of Uzbekistan are opened, which contributed to the promotion of domestic light industry products to the markets of the Baltic and European countries.
