Regina Maria Castillo is new Representative of UNICEF in Uzbekistan

Regina Maria Castillo has started her role as Representative of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Uzbekistan, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

Prior to this assignment, she served as UNICEF Representative in Croatia and Paraguay.
Before joining UNICEF in 2016, she worked in the capacity of UNAIDS Country Director for Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru, Chief of Private Sector Partnerships for UNAIDS in Switzerland and Economic and Social Affairs Officer at the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in the United States.
Castillo studied Economics and International Relations at Western Washington University in Washington State, and holds a Master’s Degree in Government and International Affairs from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
Fluent in Spanish, English and French.
