REGIONAL FAIR OF INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND DEVELOPMENTS TAKES PLACE IN JIZZAKH

At the Jizzakh polytechnics institute, a territorial fair of innovative ideas, technologies and projects has taken place.

The event was held by the committee for coordinating the development of science and technology at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the regional centre of innovative activity and technology transfer and the region’s hokimiyat (governorate).

It was said at the event that special attention was paid in this country to the wide introduction of achievements of scientific-technological progress as an important factor in ensuring economic growth.

At the fair held as part of preparations for the X republican fair of innovative ideas, technologies and projects, more than 200 technologies and developments are on display. These are from scientific groups of establishments of the Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, other scientific research and design and experiment establishments, researchers and inventors.

Participants in the fair were greatly interested in ideas and developments in such areas as energy, chemistry, nanotechnologies, energy- and resource-saving technologies, renewable energy sources, agricultural biotechnologies and environmental protection.

Preliminary agreements were signed on the industrial introduction of 20 of the technologies, developments and projects that had been displayed.

“This traditional fair is important in establishing partnership between intellectual property owners and representative of the real sector of the economy. And therefore, bоth sides are showing an increasingly bigger interest in this event. This partnership serves for the development of our country’s economy,” says the chief of the regional centre of innovative activity and technology transfer, Nodira Saidahmedova.

The hokim (governor) of Jizzakh Region, U.Uzakov, made a speech at the event.
