The potential of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry was showcased in the Indian city of Daman, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The business forum, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, and the India-Central Asia Foundation, attracted managers and representatives from over 35 major companies in Daman, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
Ambassador Sardor Rustamboyev highlighted Uzbekistan’s extensive renovations, the incentives for business operations and international cooperation, and the implementation of lucrative projects across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals.
Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, under the Ministry of Health, Abdulla Azizov provided comprehensive insights into the current status and future prospects of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, also emphasized the benefits and opportunities available in pharmaceutical clusters and free economic zones, as well as the support for modern medicine production and exports.
The forum fostered an open and practical exchange, focusing on enhancing mutual cooperation, launching new projects, manufacturing high-demand products, jointly developing markets in third countries, and other pertinent topics.
Uzbekistan’s delegation visited leading pharmaceutical enterprises to observe their production processes and ensure compliance with international production standards for medicines.
The management of Sovereign Pharma Pvt. Ltd. explored opportunities for launching vaccine production in Uzbekistan. A delegation from the company was invited to continue negotiations in Uzbekistan.
During their visit and product familiarization at United Capz Pvt. Ltd., practical ideas were exchanged regarding the collaborative production of capsules of diverse shapes and types within the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.

This information captivated the interest of all participants, demonstrating Uzbekistan’s significant potential for fruitful collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector. We are now outlining a cooperation roadmap and are committed to achieving our goals step by step. Personally, I am dedicated to enhancing pharmaceutical ties between India and Uzbekistan".
Representatives from both countries agreed to organize joint events, exchange delegations, and collaborate on developing and implementing new projects.
