REPUBLICAN STAGE OF “YOU ARE THE ONE, THE SACRED MOTHERLAND!” AT TURKISTAN ART PALACE

The contest “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!”, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence of our country, presents an opportunity for identifying the best songs about Independence.

At the Republican stage of the contest, held at the Turkistan Art Palace in Tashkent, were sang songs about our sacred Homeland.

Chairman of the Union of Composers of Uzbekistan, chairman of the jury of the contest R.Abdullaev, People’s Poet of Uzbekistan I.Mirzaaliev and others noted that the contest “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!”, traditionally held on the eve of the greatest, the dearest holiday, contributes to the affirmation in hearts of youth the sense of love of country, devotion to the ideas of Independence, pride for the great ancestors and strengthening the desire to be worthy of them.

The resolution of the Head of our state “On the preparation and celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated June 2, 2016, special attention is focused on the conduction of the “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!” contest at a high level.

The contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, variety arts association “Uzbeknavo”, the Union of Composers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, writers and Center of spirituality and enlightenment and other organizations, contributes to creating new songs, glorifying the Motherland, the further development of musical art, increasing spirituality of youth, the formation of high human qualities.

This year the contest, held under the motto “My life, my destiny - my native, unique Uzbekistan”. Songs, presented at the high artistic level, sang of our independent and flourishing Homeland, the glory and the current prosperous days.

Qualifying stages took place at a high organizational level in the system of ministries of Public Education, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Culture and Sport Affairs, Defense, Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and variety arts association “Uzbeknavo”, where were sang hundreds of songs about the Homeland.

Songs performed by the finalists of the contest made a great impression on the audience.

Winners and prize winners will be announced on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Independence of our country.
