The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo held a "round table", devoted to contemporary socio-political and socio-economic development of our country. It was attended by representatives of Japanese companies, public, scientific and academic circles and the media in Japan.
They got acquainted with information about the sustainable growth of the national economy, the implementation of socio-economic and democratic reforms, implementation of State program during the "Year of attention and care for the older generation".
The event was noted that during the years of independence, the country carried out large-scale reforms aimed at building a democratic state with a socially oriented market economy and the formation of a strong civil society.
It was stressed that the country pays special attention to modernization and diversification of the industry, as well as small business development and entrepreneurship. Over the years of independence, Uzbekistan’s economy has grown by 5 times. Annual GDP growth in recent years consistently above 8%.
